The Polka Generations are out of the Chicago area. They released their first CD entitled  4/2010, "Times Are Changing" featuring 15 year old 2009 USPA New Horizon Award Receipent Bernie Gorak III . The Polka Generations Band features 3 generations of Gorak's, Bernie I, II and III. (Grandpa, Father and son). Then we added the talend of John Jaworski and Kevin Altenburg. On March 5, 2011 we released our second CD "It's  A Family Affair".

 The Polka Generations play that old fashion "chicago" honky style music for you. They are members of these great polka organizations: International Polka Assocaition, American Polka Association, Midwest Polka Association, Lets Polka USA, Cleveland Polka Association, and United States Polka Association

Bernie Gorak II (leader- Bass)

Bernie has been playing polkas in his own band since he was 15 years old. Bernie II comes from a polka background as he has followed in his father's foot steps playing drums. At the age of 12 he learned concertina. currently Bernie II is the "Boss" (as some would say) of the Polka Generations, which featured three generations of the Gorak's. To our knowledge there has been no other time this has happened in the Chicago Area. (Henny Versa J's -PA)

Bernie Gorak III (Concertina)

Bernie III is only 16 years old and has been playing polkas professionally since the age of 5. He started out of drums at the age of 5, and he took up concertina at age 13 and that is were he found his love. Bernie III self taught himself the concertina and is the 2009 USPA New Horizon Award Reciepient. To date he has recorded five albums, and he has a very bright future in the polka field!!

Bernie Gorak Sr. (Drums & Vocals)

Bernie I has been playing polkas since he was 13 years old. He has played with Tommy Altenburg and the Hap-E-Notes, Lil Teddy and Stas Bulunda and the Old School Review and the Polka King Lil Wally!!. He plays that old fashion honky style drums and on occassion he will play his trumpet. And to his credit we might let him sing one song every now and then.
